THE UNSEEN FANZINE is a quarterly literary magazine featuring witty/satirical tales from the realms of science fiction, fantasy and speculative fiction.

We operate as a not-for-profit collective to promote the works of independent authors, showcasing interesting, exciting and above all entertaining stories.

WE OPERATE ON A ZERO UPFRONT PAYMENT BASIS

Please be advised that whilst we do not charge you to submit your work we are also unable to pay in advance for any successful submissions.

However, at the end of each calendar year any profits will be redistributed to all contributors and collaborators.

Submission Guidelines

We are looking for funny, witty and/or satirical stories. We fully appreciate that what one person finds funny someone else may not. However, we need to be clear, anything deemed offensive, demeaning or graphic simply won't get passed the editorial review.

Whilst there should always be some artistic license regarding subject matter your work needs to appeal to a wider audience.

With this in mind we will not accept erotica - the spice level should be very much 'behind closed doors'. Similarly, whilst some profanity can be funny in certain circumstances, if it's not needed for part of the story then please refrain.

The Unseen Fanzine, doesn't just accept difference - we celebrate it, we support it, and we thrive on the diverse points of view for the benefit of the community, as a whole. We therefore encourage ALL authors to reach out to us.

We aim to respond within 1 month.

To submit your original short story (no more than 5000 words), fan fiction (no more than 1000 words) or poem (no more than 500 words) please email submissions@theunseenfanzine.com - good luck!
